Introduction Day 1

Tour through Central and Southern Mongolia which includes best features of that area as well as visiting nomadic families and riding camels. Best of Mongolia 10 days is a slightly shorter version of the Best of Mongolia 15 days tour. During this trip one will see, experience, learn and take photos of the Central and Southern Mongolia. It is a round trip that will take you through different geographical zones and allow you to visit the most remarkable sights this area has to offer.

Upon arrival in Ulaanbaatar, you will be greeted by your guide and driver. Transfer to a hotel. Half and full day tours are available.

Middle Gobi Day 2

Early morning, begin your journey to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a unique formation of rocks. Visit ruins of an ancient temple and explore the area. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. (L/D)

Middle Gobi Day 3

After breakfast visit the ruins of Sum Khukh Burd Temple. Continue driving to Tsagaan Suvarga, a fascinating white limestone cliff which resembles a Stupa. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

South Gobi Day 4

Drive further south. Arrive at the Three Beauties mountain range of the Gobi National Park. Spend the day on an excursion to Yol Valley, hiking and enjoying stunning photographic opportunities. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

South Gobi Day 5

After breakfast drive to Khongor Sand Dunes known as the Singing Dunes. A climb up to the sand dunes will be rewarded with breathtaking views. In the evening observe a spectacular sunset, please prepare your cameras. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

South Gobi Day 6

Drive to the world-famous Flaming Cliffs (Bayanzag), rich in saxaul trees of Gobi. Explore the site of the first paleontological discoveries in Mongolia by following the footsteps of Roy Chapman Andrews, (January 26, 1884 – March 11, 1960), an American explorer, adventurer and naturalist. Visit a nomadic camel breeding family and experience the hospitality of Mongolian nomads. Enjoy a short camel ride. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Middle Gobi Day 7

After breakfast drive north. Visit the ruins of the once great Ongi Monastery, visit a local restored temple and have a walk in the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Karakorum Day 8

After breakfast drive to Karakorum, once the capital of the 13th century Great Mongol Empire. Visit Erdene-Zuu Monastery, which was the first and the largest monastery in Mongolia built on the ruins of the ancient capital. Tour the monastery and visit several temples with excellent examples of Buddhist Thangka paintings and statues dating back to the 17th century. Visit the Karakorum museum. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. (B/L/D)

Ulaanbaatar Day 9

After breakfast drive back to Ulaanbaatar and lunch on the way. Overnight stay in a hotel. (B/L)

After brakfast transfer to airport or rail station for international departure
